Well this one is a bit of an epic - actually it's my longest video upload to date. I hope you enjoy it and stick with it right to the end. As a result of the Summer of Sport in London there have been many rare and unsual visitors to Stansted. I've brought a lot of VIP arrivals to you in my previous video, but this was on the day of the opening ceremony. However this video features some of the movements during the proceedings as more athletes and heads of state travel around. This video features an Airbus of the Armenian Government to kick things off, followed by a title sequence that's quite short but quite ambitious. The music is supposed to start with a Chinese / Asian sound reflecting the Airbus 330 of China Southern on screen, this then cuts into shots of Russian built TU154 of the Slovak Government, IL62's an IL96 and IL76. All this is set to more grinding hardcore music to try and reflect the machinery that is these aircraft - well that's the thought anyway! Stay to the end to capture the water cannon salute for China Southern, I can only think this was done because the airline only recently started flights to Heathrow and there was a hosepipe ban on according to 'Aviation News' so this may have been done at STN instead. Thanks for watching and commenting.
A video tribute to SAS and the MD80 series aircraft that were withdrawn from scheduled commercial operations on October 26th 2013. The video begins with a series of different aircraft, many angles and is set to music. This is followed by some very up close shots of this great aircraft. The skies will be less varied and a bit quieter without these flying the European skies. Thank you for watching and subscribing. I appreciate the support.
Filmed and uploaded on August 19 2013 this video features newly delivered Boeing 787 Dreamliner G-TUID of Thomson Airways. The video begins with another Boeing, in the shape of a Singapore Airlines 777. After a short title sequence with a few shots of other aircraft and scenes, the video shows the 787. This aircraft was newly delivered on August 18th 2013,. I was just coming back from my holiday in Ireland when I stopped at Manchester Airport and so managed, luckily, to film this before heading home! This is the first time I've ever seen a 787 Dreamliner. As ever, thanks for watching.
Filmed on Monday 29 July 2013, this video features the first ever arrival of an Airbus A380 at London Stansted. British Airways' operated the aircraft G-XLEA in from Cardiff Airport in Wales. The video begins with a "teaser" title sequence with a few different shots and angles of the aircraft before the actual landing. I hope you enjoy this FIRST and a piece of aviation history for London Stansted Airport.
Another video from London Stansted, with a bit of variety. I captured a nice late evening arrival of another first for me, a Tupolev TU204, albeit a freighter version operated by Aviastar/Transaero. Also a relatively rare sight of a UPS Boeing 767-300 arriving in daylight hours, Air Modolva with their brilliant colours on the Embraer E190 as well as some other close up / rare shots.
On Friday 12 July 2013 London Heathrow airport's 2 runways were closed to incoming traffic as a result of a fire on an Ethiopian Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner. As a result of this brief closure, a number of aircraft were forced to divert. This video captures many of those diverted to London Stansted, subsequently departing. The diversions made for a very nice scene at STN with many more aircraft types, and liveries than we are used to. The video includes Jet Airways of India, Boeing 777-300 VT-JEK, Kuwait AIrways Airbus A340 9K-ANB, British Airways Boeing 747-400 G-CIVA, BA Airbus A320's and A319's including G-EUPG in the Golden Dove livery. Also an Scandinavian SAS A320 OY-KAO mixed in with other regular STN Traffic. I hope you enjoy the diversity.
Filmed at London Stansted Airport this video includes some rare Russian aircraft including an Ilyushin IL76, RA76713, Global Express BD700 M-LWSA, Beechcraft B300 N800EU, Dubai Air Wing Boeing 737 BBJ A6-HRS, Sikorsky S-92 G-LAWX Helicopter, Tupolev TU214 RA-64521 and more!
This video was filmed on Friday 24 May 2013 at London Stansted Airport. The weekend of 24th - 27th May 2013 was to be of added interest to aviation enthusiasts as a number of additional aircraft & airlines were due in, bringing passengers for the Champions League football final. However the day got off to an unusual start as in the early morning rush London Heathrow's 2 runways were closed due to an incident with a BA Airbus. This resulted in a number of interesting diversions to Stansted. As the morning progressed, and a number of the Champions League arrivals came in, there was a sudden change in airport movements as all traffic was stopped pending an emergency arrival of Manchester bound Pakistan International Boeing 777 AP-BID. According to reports (note that this story was broadcast locally and nationally in the UK) there was an attempt by 2 individuals to gain access to the cockpit. This video captures the aircraft's arrival and sights and sounds surrounding the event. If you listen to the audio you will hear the RAF Typhoon's overhead, these were scrambled to accompany the aircraft in. As with previous emergency videos I have posted, this video serves to show the professionalism of all involved from airport, control tower, emergency services etc in the safe and secure transport of passengers. Thankfully no one was hurt of injured.
Filmed on April 6 2013 this video from London Stansted includes a number of new visitors in the shape of a Cargolux Boeing 747-400, Silkways Boeing 767 with winglets, EasyJet Airbus A319 with "Spirit of EasyJet" nose decal, along with a ski charter movement by Austrian Arrows and a Fokker F100. Very nice to see some different liveries and a good variety of aircraft types at London's Stansted Airport.
This video includes a lot of landings of a wide range of aircraft types and includes footage that I took some time ago but never got around to using. The video begins with a British Airways Boeing 767 and after another short title sequence, you will see Fokker F100, McDonnell Douglas MD82, Boeing 777, 747's Airbus A320's, A319 and A321 from a wide range of airlines. As always I do hope you enjoy the video please like and share if you do :-)
Handheld at Heathrow - this video as you may have guessed was filmed on a handheld camera - no tripod. Ordinarily this isn't something I would recommend, however filming at Heathrow is very difficult indeed! This video begins with a Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330 departing, followed by a short title sequence, after that it is back to back depatures and arrivals at the UK's busiest airport. I've included a shot of the first #newamerican airlines Boeing 777 in the new livery that I've seen. Along with A380s of Emirates & Malaysian, Aer Lingus, TAM, Tarom, Titan, British Airways, United, Royal Jordanian and others also feature! As always I hope you enjoy, and please bear in mind this was filmed handheld unlike my other vids :-) Thank you for watching.
