Having gone back through some video tapes of footage I filmed a few years ago it's clear just how many changes have occurred at London Stansted. However, bear in mind that some of the shots included here, such as Hellenic Imperial, Saudi and Bahrain 727 were irregular flights. However many others such as Darwin Airline, Transavia, Blue1, AIr Italy, MaxJet, SkyEurope have either stopped flying to Stansted or stopped altogether. Although others such as Titan, EasyJet, Ryanair remain. Germanwings remains, but lacks the logojets of the past and Air Berlin is a shadow of it's former self at STN, having transferred many flights elsewhere. Some shots are a little jerky but I hope it brings back memories for you as it did me. Oh, and as a one off I've also included a US Military C130 departure and an Irish Air Corp CASA arrival. Thanks for your support.
This video is uploaded in 1080 full HD... it's a test video, but includes all brand new footage including 2 Boeing 747-8's at London Stansted in the form of G-GSSF and G-GSSD along with Pegasus and Thomson Airways Boeing 737s, and ATR72-201 of Aurigny - always looking so smart in that livery - and a few others in the titles. As always I am extremely grateful for you taking the time to view.
The video includes shots from a variety of airports that I've filmed at over the past year and I've included as many aircraft types and airliners as possible, however there are obviously a lot that I simply couldn't fit in due to time. However you will see the likes of Aer Arann (perhaps for the last time from me), Aer Lingus, American, British Airways, BMI, bmibaby, EasyJet, Etihad, Singapore, Thomas Cook, Jet2, Ryanair, Flybe, Loganair, you'll also see the L1011, Air Force One, and the latest BA World Cargo Boeing 747-8F G-GSSF
G-GSSF was the third Boeing 747-8F on order by Atlas Air, delivered to Global Supply Systems and operated on behalf of British Airways World Cargo. The aircraft left Seattle en-route to Hong Kong, prior to a flight to Delhi. The first scheduled arrival into Stansted was at 6:10am on Friday 30th December 2011. Despite a VERY early start for me, I arrived at the airport in the dark only to receive a message saying the flight was delayed by 3 hours! With other engagements I wasn't able to capture the arrival (see my other video for G-GSSD landing), however I did return in the afternoon and literally as we pulled up, GSSF had been pushed back so it was a very mad panic to get all the equipment setup in time for the takeoff.
Well you might be able to guess what a Happy Christmas I'm having when I sit here editing videos on Christmas Day!!! ... well there was so little on the TV and I got bored, so here's a new slightly unplanned late video for December 2011. All filmed at London Stansted on Christmas Eve this video includes shots of Belle Air, Martinair, Atlas Air, Titan Airways, Aurigny, Thomson Airways and BMI Baby... I hope to have a 'review of 2011' video up soon.
Filmed at London Stansted, This video includes many aircraft of all shapes and sizes, some regular some rare visitors. Includes Air Contractors ATR72 (ex Aer Arann EI-REJ), Swiftair Brasilia, Asiana 747, Dubai Air Wing 747, Saudia Arabian 777, FedEX MD11 and more
This video begins with an Iceland Air Cargo Boeing 757F landing at Stansted Airport, this was filmed earlier in 2011. Following the short title sequence is footage filmed on 24th September 2011, including FedEX Boeing 777 arrival and then another rare treat (I do keep trying to bring them to you!), as Air Asia X substituted their usual Airbus A340 aircraft with an A330 instead, I've included both the arrival and night time departure. The video also includes a fantastic sounding private 767-300 in the form of VP-CME and a FedEX MD11 rounds off the departures
Filmed on 28 October 2011, this video contains some shots of aircraft at Dublin Airport, including a first for me, the Air France Beoing 747F - this being the first time I'd seen a 747 at Dublin. Also included are the usual visitors including Aer Lingus, Aer Arann Regional (Aer lingus regional), Etihad, Ryanair and a few more in the titles. This was only a fleeting visit as our trip was to Galway and we decided to drive over to Dublin to see what the journey was like, having always flown it in the past. The answer was, very long! and surprisingly expensive due to all the tolls along the route. That coupled with food poisioning on the trip didn't make for an altogether happy experience!!
Filmed in the summer of 2011, this video includes a Martinair Holland Cargo McDonnell Douglas MD11 departure, AnadoluJet (Turkish Airlines) and Pegasus 737 arrival, A Germanwings A319 and an Atlantic Airways 146 Avro RJ85 departure. All footage was filmed at London Stansted airport
Global Supply Systems received it's first Boeing 747-8F on 4th November 2011. Painted in British Airways World Cargo livery, the aircraft arrived on it's delivery flight to London Stansted on Friday 4th November 2011. This video captures the very first landing, along with water cannon salute.

This is a short tribute video to UK regional carrier, Air Southwest, which after being sold by it's parent company to Eastern Airways, ceased operations under it's brand on Sept 30th 2011. This video includes shots of Air Southwest's Bombardier Dash8-300s at Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin Airports. (The video starts with a short title sequence)
