Chinook lifts Ferrari to mountain ice track
Ferrari has had to call on the services of the Italian army's helicopter fleet for an event high in the Italian Dolomites prior to the launch of the company's new FF four-wheel drive car. A Boeing CH-47 Chinook from the 1st Regiment Antares in Viterbo was used to carry two FFs to a specially constructed ice and snow track at the ski resort of Plan de Corones at 2,350m, where it was demonstrated in front of 200 motoring journalists. In addition, Italian army aviation provided three Agusta/Bell AB205s for the event from the 4th Regiment Altair in Bolzano.
